Being one of the Best Solar companies in West Bengal it is our motto that we provide the best version of energy affecting the environment minimally. Instead of this, we wish to provide some of the environmental protection acts applicable in West Bengal.

1. West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) Act, 1973:
The West Bengal Pollution Control Board Act was established to control and prevent pollution in the state. The act empowers the West Bengal Pollution Control Board to regulate various types of pollution, such as air, water, and noise pollution, and enforce measures to prevent environmental degradation.

2. The West Bengal Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules, 1976:
Under these rules, the discharge of pollutants into water bodies is regulated and controlled to maintain water quality and protect aquatic ecosystems. Industries, municipalities, and other entities are required to obtain permits and adhere to strict norms for the disposal of effluents.

3. The West Bengal Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules, 1983:
These rules curb air pollution from industrial processes, vehicles, and other sources. The state government, along with the WBPCB, enforces regulations and standards to monitor and reduce air pollutants, contributing to improved air quality in the region.

4. Forest Conservation Act, 1980:
The Forest Conservation Act regulates the diversion of forest land for non-forest purposes. It ensures that forest resources are utilized sustainably and requires prior approval from the central government for any diversion of forest land for developmental activities.

5. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 1994, and its subsequent amendments:
The EIA Notification is national legislation but applies to West Bengal. It mandates that certain developmental projects undergo environmental impact assessments before approval. The assessment evaluates potential environmental impacts and suggests measures to mitigate them.
